Dear Sir,
I write to add my voice to those protesting about the above proposed development as a local resident.
Please look to develop brownfield sites and derelict high street property before plundering what little remains of our precious green spaces.
This site is especially rich in peat which has taken over 10,000 years to accumulate and mature. It is essential to the environment and once gone, it is lost forever.
The peat deposits help to reduce risk of flooding and are home to a huge array of wildlife, plants, bugs and birds which we should be working to protect.
I hope this plan will not be pursued as it would be so detrimental long term to the area and environment.
I trust my observations and objections will be noted and logged.

Representation Summary:
I object to the proposed development plans for Sandbach and surrounding areas, including application 26/2445/FUL. Sandbach has already experienced significant growth and local infrastructure has not kept pace. Roads are increasingly congested, with traffic conditions worsening further when incidents on the M6 divert vehicles onto unsuitable local routes. The loss of agricultural land and green space is a major concern, as these areas support food production, wildlife, biodiversity and residents’ wellbeing. Further development risks accelerating urban sprawl between Sandbach, Middlewich and Holmes Chapel, eroding important green gaps between settlements. Brownfield sites and redundant commercial properties should be prioritised before any further loss of valuable countryside and farmland is considered.

Sandbach development plan including 26/2445/FUL- OPPOSITION
I write to express my opposition to the proposed plan for Sandbach and surrounding areas.
I refer in particular to the above application but my comments should be applied to all proposed development areas identified.
Sandbach is already overdeveloped and has not recovered from the last round of development.
The infrastructure is under increasing pressure with the roads, in particular, congested at all times, even in what have previously been quieter periods of the day.
The access to the sites identified will increase the difficulty which is always heightened when there is an issue on M6 causing back up into the surrounding lanes which cannot cope.
The loss of our green space is the most concerning feature. We need agricultural land to produce foodstuffs. Once gone, this land can never be replaced and we will be dependent on outside sources for our existence instead of being self-sufficient. The nature and wildlife will be eradicated for good
There is an increasing urban sprawl incorporating Sandbach, Middlewich and Holmes Chapel. We need to preserve our green corridors and spaces for the reasons given and for our own mental health.
Please utilise brownfields and redundant commercial property before plundering what little precious green land remains.
