Local plan scoping consultation

I strongly object to the proposed 291-hectare development across 12 contiguous parcels at Ashley. This is high-performing Green Belt countryside, not Grey Belt, and its loss would permanently erode the vital rural gap between Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
The Tatton–Ashley countryside is a valued landscape that protects Ashley’s rural character, wildlife, farmland and important views towards Tatton Park. Ashley has limited services and public transport, while narrow roads, bridges and existing infrastructure cannot support development on this scale. The proposal would increase traffic, drainage and flooding pressures and harm heritage settings and biodiversity.
The Council should protect this Green Belt and reject the proposal in full. stop thinking of the money you can squeeze out of everything.
I hope this gets read. my previous attempts to obtain any action for traffic calming in my area have come to nothing. with a reply of 'something needs to happen on the road for any traffic calming to be looked at.' I will keep on trying.
I imagine having 11,000 new homes and their cars on these small country roads will make it a more dangerous place for our children and the elderly.
We did not move out to the beautiful countryside here to look at the building of 11,000 new homes. if this is allowed and this type of thing is allowed, soon there will be no countryside to look at, walk in and enjoy.
