I object to the proposed development in Ashley because of the permanent loss of countryside and the impact it would have on the village and its farming community. I am concerned that additional traffic would overwhelm the narrow local roads and ancient bridges, while existing infrastructure would be unable to accommodate the additional population and vehicles. I believe development would increase pollution and result in the loss of wildlife and habitats, including species such as owls and house martins. I am also concerned about potential flood risk associated with the Bollin and Birkin rivers. I hope the proposed development is reconsidered.
