I strongly object to the proposed 291-hectare development across 12 contiguous parcels at Ashley. Having lived in the village for 48 years, I consider the land to be high-performing Green Belt rather than Grey Belt, preventing urban sprawl and maintaining the countryside gap between Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Ashley has limited services and public transport, with access constrained by narrow bridges. I believe development of this scale would be unsustainable and create significant traffic, infrastructure and drainage pressures. It would also harm productive farmland, protected landscapes, wildlife habitats and the settings of listed buildings. I request that Green Belt protection is retained.
