I wish to voice strongly that peatland wet or otherwise should not feature in any local plan. If nothing else this years weather has provided a wake up call to climate change.
We need peat to provide natural areas for water retention. Other countries are resetting & restoring their peatland. Cheshire must do the same. Areas of known environmental and areas of natural habitats must be protected. To do otherwise is a crime against future generations.
