The respondent objects to the potential allocation of development sites around Henbury, Whirley, Sandy Lane and Birtles Road, Macclesfield. While acknowledging the need for new housing and the requirement for Cheshire East Council to plan for growth, they express concern about the cumulative impact of continued development on this side of Macclesfield. Please accept this email as an Objection to the Cheshire East New Local Plan Scoping Consultation.
I suspect there may be representations in detailed form as to why the sites shown on the map as sites to be considered for future development should not go-ahead.
I am not sufficiently technical and do not have sufficient detailed knowledge to put up a coherent argument on these matters.
What does concern me is the increasing urbanization of this side of Macclesfield. Yes, people need housing with an expanding population, and you are forced by central government to provide sites for future development.
However, it appears that this Macclesfield is having an unfair amount of housing development which will radically change the character of this area and just make it another suburban sprawl on the outside of a Town.
You may argue that these are relatively small areas but if this continues Henbury and Alderley Edge will be joined.
Somewhere it must stop, and the cancellation of these sites could be the start!
